LIFE WATER FROM UTİB AND UHKİB TO THE UNIVERSITY

 

The University Administration and students thanked the managers of UTİB and UHKİB, who provided technical and physical support for Bursa Uludağ University Textile Engineering Department students to receive a higher quality education.

Uludağ Textile Exporters’ Association (UTİB) and Uludağ Clothing and Apparel Exporters’ Association (UHKİB) continue their work without slowing down bringing well-equipped Textile Engineers to the sector and encouraging Textile Engineering. In this context, the studies undertaken by UTİB and UHKİB to develop the technical and physical facilities of Bursa Uludağ University Textile Engineering Department have been completed.

 

IT WAS HELD WITH GREAT PARTICIPATION

 

UTİB Chairman of the Board Pınar Taşdelen Engin, UHKİB Chairman of the Board Nüvit Gündemir, UIB Secretary General Mümin Karacakayalılar, UIB Deputy Secretary General Ayşe Mehtap Ekinci, Bursa Uludağ University Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Saim Guide, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Prof. Dr. Akın Burak Etemoğlu, Head of Textile Engineering Department Prof. Dr. Dilek Kut, Deputy Head of Textile Engineering Department Prof. Dr. A meeting followed by a laboratory visit was held with the participation of Binnaz Kaplangiray and lecturers. At the meeting, the university administration presented plaques to the presidents of the union for their support, while the students thanked them with flowers.

 

‘TEXTILE PROMISES THE FUTURE’

 

UTİB Chairman of the Board Pınar Taşdelen Engin, who stated that they focused primarily on educational activities to transform the textile and clothing industry into a more qualified structure, reminded that they also offer scholarships to students in addition to many events and organizations. Adding that textile engineering offers great opportunities to students, Engin said, “As one of the promising professions of the country, textile engineering offers great opportunities to our youth. As UTİB, we are conducting studies and training as a unifying force at this point. We attach importance to announcing the name and successful work of both our university and our Textile Engineering department. The Textile Engineering Summit, which we held for the third time this year, is one of these examples.”

 

‘WE ARE READY FOR ANY CONTRIBUTION’

 

UHKİB Chairman of the Board Nüvit Gündemir, who stated that the sector representatives have great duties to carry the textile city Bursa identity to the next generations, said, “Although we have existed for 2-3 generations, the textile industry, especially in our city, is based on a very deep-rooted past. We are ready to provide all kinds of support and contribution to the revitalization of textile, both personally and as an institution, and to bring more equipped Textile Engineers to the sector.”

Bursa Uludag University Rector Ahmet Saim Guide, emphasizing that quality is as important as education in universities, said, “Beyond state support, the help of sector stakeholders and philanthropists for education and training, quality also guides us. If it were not for your efforts and contributions, we would have been lame, especially in accreditation. Your support is a source of motivation for our university and our students. Stating that successful works have been carried out in one year in terms of improving the technical and physical facilities of the Textile Engineering Department, Prof. Dr. Dilek Kut said, “From the improvement works in our laboratories to the maintenance of defective devices.
